Delicious Mushroom and Carrot Soup

1 onion, finely chopped
8 cups chicken broth
2 teaspoons chopped fresh basil
1 tablespoon chopped fresh coriander
2 cups sliced mushrooms
1 bay leaf
Tsp olive oil 1 tsp
2 carrots, sliced
Place chicken broth in large saucepan. Add bay leaf andbring to boil.
Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add mushrooms,and (excluding salt if the broth has salt) with salt and pepper.Stir and cook until the mushrooms brown. Add to broth mixture.
